The ‘Centre International de Séjour’ in the
Haute-Maurienne valley

The Centre International de Séjour is in the High Maurienne valley (the 'Haute-Maurienne') in the Vanoise mountains and near the village of Lanslebourg. This valley is the southern border of the Vanoise National Park. The village of Lanslebourg forms with Lanslevillard (its neighbouring village) the ski resort of Val-Cenis.

The Haute-Maurienne valley and the Vanoise mountains
This is a mountainous region with traditional villages, a Savoyard patrimony and a preserved environment just one hour from Chambéry.
High Maurienne valley panorama
While conserving its dynamic agricultural activity (mainly the production of the Beaufort cheese), this high valley has developed the tradition of welcoming tourists with the first travellers passing through the Mont Cenis pass and now for lovers of winter sports and of nature

  The Vanoise National Park
This was the first french National Park created in 1963 on the land of the villages in the High Maurienne valley. There are high summits, glaciers and lakes, 500 km of footpaths, a remarkable flora, the biggest colony of ibex (‘bouquetins’) in the Alps, but the National Park also remains an area of agriculture
